I am delighted to welcome you to the Narajole Raj College, one of the most ancient colleges in Paschim Medinipur district established in September, 1966. Since then, the College has committed itself to the gamut of teaching and learning in higher education with the prime objective of rendering value based quality education and providing extracurricular activities in the best possible manner. All those efforts have been for spreading alongside the benefit of higher education inhabited mostly by SC and ST, poor, and marginalised peoples of the society. 

Education is a very important tool for shaping the well-being of the society. Iit changes people's attitudes, determines the altitude and tells the value of life. Value-based education plays a major role in shaping student behaviour, so that students can display good behaviour, interact well with each other and imbibe spirituality in all areas of life. Value based ethics is therefore very important in any given system of education as the benefits not only affect a student but are felt by the entire society.

Throughout the inception, Narajole Raj College has been dedicated to provide an outstanding educational experience to its undergraduate students. We are continuously striving to prepare our students to be responsible, inventive global citizens with a solid foundation in their respective disciplines. However, we have to undertake hard work and concentrated efforts as a team to achieve bigger goals in the field of higher education. Zoology, one of the primary branches of biology, is a field of knowledge that encompasses thestructure,embryology, classification, habits, and distribution of all animals, both living and extinct, and how they interact with their ecosystems. Through the study of zoology, we can gain an understanding of the natural world and how we can help with conservation. It also offers the opportunity to consider ways to face global challenges such as climate change and food security, trying to find solutions to help both animals and humans alike.

As a Head of this renowned Department, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you the very best in your future academic endeavours at this Department, which offers all the necessary components to make a difference in your life. I shall try my level best to consolidate our strength more judiciously with the aim to achieve a strong Department by inculcating value based holistic and integrated approaches; so that needs of the students are to be satisfied and expectation of local peoples of the society are fulfilled.
